How to do distressed finishes on cast hardware

We manufacture sand cast bronze hardware and are looking for ways to do the distressed finishes that are popular today. Some look like casting defects and some look like surface treatments.

Not exactly sure what you are looking for; however, the best way to get repeatable uniform finishes is to use mass finishing equipment. If you want a really dinged up appearance, I suggest you put your parts in either a barrel or vibratory machine system with some big chunks of metal and run it from 5-15 min. The larger and denser the chunks the bigger the dings.
