What coating recommended if Hot-dip Galv. not possible?
We have designed a steel housing using .09" CRS for which my original intent was to hot-dip galvanize to provide weather resistance for 20-40 years in the field. I have subsequently been informed that HDG will probably warp the housing, so am looking for another solution. Any suggestions for a process that will provide equivalent corrosion resistance?
Thanks,

For 20 to 40 years, use stainless steel.

Try using spray galvanizing with a thickness of 150 microns.

What about e-coating?

Maybe try mechanical galv (as thick as you can). What about zinc/nickel alloy.
