Dark black and shining finish

Which material gives the dark & shining finish to the job after black oxiding ?

Black oxide must be waxed or oiled lest it quickly rust. Some waxes may be shinier than others, but most of the shine comes from polishing the metal before black oxiding rather than anything that can be done after black oxiding.
