Would powder coating be appropriate for old claw footed tubs?

Have two old claw footed tubs-was suggested to powder coat-would this work-would it last.

For the inside, the outside, or both, Claudia. Powder coating is somewhat similar to paint, but instead of using a solvent to wet the paint, the powder is heated to melt it on. It can certainly be an excellent finish, but I wouldn't expect it to be as durable as true ceramic.
