DARK HEAT STAIN ON STAINLESS STEEL

WE CURRENTLY HOT HEAD LARGE STAINLESS STEEL FASTENERS. AFTER THE PARTS HAVE COOLED WE GLASS BEAD THEM TO REMOVE THE DARK HEAT STAIN. IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE AND/OR MORE ECONOMICAL PROCESS TO REMOVING THESE DARK HEAT STAINS?

I am partial and biased on mass finishing systems because it produces better uniformity surface finishes. I'm not sure exactly what media to recommend because you did not provide enough info; however, instead of an abrasive, you might be able to use a burnishing media and brighten the parts instead of dulling them as you are doing now. To do the latter, you need a good chemical compound with the media.
