Will removing lacquer from trumpet leave the brass vulnerable to corrosion?
I removed all of my trumpet's lacquer. I'm worried that the exposed brass (I like the look) will be harmed by air, etc.
Also, can I use Brasso

Amazon [affil links] or some other product to put a "shine" on the brass?

I have also cleaned a brass bed, it is shining and looks great. I'm wondering what I could spray on the brass to keep from tarnishing in the future?
Thanks

A. Hi Ann. Brass lacquer is made for that purpose but if you want to do a good job apply it in 2 or even 3 thin coats. Some high quality chandelier makers apply 7 (yes 7) highly thinned coats :-)
