Monthly Testing Requirements for Electroless Nickel

I am working with a company on certification requirements to electroless nickel plate to MIL-C-26074 [on DLA]. I see the monthly test requirements as Phos content, Microhardness and Hydrogen Embrittlement with corrosion, coating thickness and adhesion performed quarterly. The testing costs on a monthly/quarterly basis are very high. Am I out of line in how I see the testing requirements? Also, is there an alloy requirement for the test coupons?

The MIL spec for EN is now AMSC26074. It includes no requirement for phosphorus content.

Thickness is required for each lot by a non-destructive instrument. Adhesion tests of each lot is also required by bending surrogate panels. The accuracy of both tests are confirmed quarterly by microscopic examination.

Hydrogen embrittlement relief and microhardness are tested monthly.

The test coupons should be the same alloy and surface condition as the parts.
