Electroplating Carbon On Metals

My name is Brian Charles, and I am an inventor. I am very interested in finding a way to electroplate solid layers of carbon on pieces of any kind of metal. I would like to see if there is a way to use this solid layer of carbon that is electroplated onto pieces of metal as a kind of solid lubrication, so that it will then be unnecessary to use oils and greases for lubrication between metal parts in contact with each other. I don't want to subject the pieces of metal to any kind of carbon vapor or plasma deposition method, and I would like to know if anyone has found any possible way to electroplate carbon onto any type of metal in a bath of water, with what kinds of chemicals and electrolytes used. Thank you for your assistance with my request.

Sincerely,

Brian Charles

No such animal. Take a look at dry film lubrication. It will not do everything that you desire, but it might do well enough. Typical formulation is with molyDiSulfide, but some use graphite. The baked on ones work well and they work even better over a thin layer of zinc phosphate.
