Mild steel Shims of thickness 0.25 and 0.5 mm need to be zinc Plated

The shims about 1000 nos when put in the Barrel for plating get stuck to each other and about 30 % of them need to be replated. We tried to plate the shims with some other parts but the results have not been satisfactory. Does any one have a suggestion how to plate these mild steel shims effectively and quickly ? We need to zinc plate about 300,000 shims in a 2 weeks time and we are stuck for want of a solution.

Mr Bhagwat

You need a HOB which stands for Horizontal Ooscillating Barrel. A differently designed barrel will solve this problem. The costs won't kill anyone. You will need to replace the existing barrels which cannot be modified. The tanks will stay. The second alternative is Vibratory plating . The costs can kill.
