Phosphate coating pre-wash
Does using a Hydrochloric Acid pre-wash before Phosphate coating present a greater risk of hydrogen embrittlement to steel hardened to Rockwell 38-43C than a sulfuric Acid pre-wash would.

FOR THE HEAVY IRON PHOSPHATE YOU HAVE TWO WAYS
THE FIRST PROCESS TO USE A PHOSPHODEGREASING FORMULATION (ONE PRODUCT USED FOR IRON PHOSPHATE THEN RINSE)
THE SECOND PROCESS TO USE AN ALKALINE DEGREASER HAS A GOOD ETCHING EFFECT FOR BAD SURFACE CONDITIONS ( dirt, natural oxide,....).
THEN RINSE
THEN PHOSPHODEGREASING , RINSE , DI RINSE
