Black zinc chromate on CRS
I am designing a piece of computer equipment that may end up in a hospital environment. I would like to make sure that a black zinc chromate finish on cold rolled steel will hold up to a 17% bleach solution for cleaning.
Thank you in advance for any insight to this issue.

You really don't explain what "hold up" is. You need to define your requirement. For your application, I would generally prefer 300 series stainless steel or perhaps nickel or nickel chrome plate.
