RoHS compliant Conversion Coatings
Gentlemen,
Would like your recommendation on RoHS Compliant Conversion Coatings.
I understand Titanium Alodine may be such a substitute, can you confirm, where can I get a data sheet.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank You.

Did you ever get the list that you were looking for?
I would like to see it myself.

Hi,
As much as I could understand, the RoHS directive is about hexavalent Chromium. The conversion coating solutions have hexavalent Chromium in them.
But the final product - the coated Aluminum - does not have hexavalent Chromium on it. The hexavalent Chromiun converts to trivalent Chromiun during the process.
So there is no problem with the RoHS directive.
You may have some problems with the local environment authority, where you make the coatings.
Thanks,

What about Chromic Acid Anodize, Type 1? Is all the Hexavalent Chrome converted to Trivalent Chrome in this process too? If so, can you point me to your reference or source for this information?
