What are quality measurement standards for mechanical polished aluminum?

We are an OEM manufacturer mechanically polishing aluminum to The Aluminum Association designation M32 medium satin requirement. I need to know if there is a quality measurement method and standard to measure when you have achieved a quality polished finish. What is used normally in the industry?

Mechanical standards are usually measured by a profilometer and a scale indicating RMS or Ra. Then again there is some movement to an Rz scale.
