FINISH ON COPPER AND BRASS STRIPS
WE ARE COLD ROLLING COPPER AND BRASS STRIPS AND ARE CATERING TO MANY INDUSTRIAL UNITS.
WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE PASSIVATION TO BE DONE ON COPPER AND BRASS STRIPS. PRESENTLY WE ARE USING BENZOTRIAZOLE

BUT STILL IT HAS LIMITATIONS AS NO ELECTROPLATING CAN BE DONE ON IT.
IS THERE ANY OTHER CHEMICAL TO BE USED FOR PASSIVATION TO AVOID CORROSION ON THE STRIPS.
FURTHER WHAT KIND OF ACID SHOULD BE USED FOR PICKLING OF THE STRIPS AND ABOUT THE DEGREASING AGENT TO BE USED TO REMOVE ROLLING OILS AND TRACES OF CARRYOVER EMULSION ON THE STRIPS.

is the mostly used and proven corrosion inhibitor for preventing corrosion of brass.
You have mentioned that you are doing electroplating on copper surface passivated by benzotriazole. What type of plating you are doing and what is its role. Could please explain?
Degreasing can be performed using trichloroethylene. Many commercial formulations are available in the market for cleaning.
