Galvanizing of high silicon steel
2005
We are a tube mill industry having galvanizing facility. We do galvanizing of pipes made out of from hot rolled steel coils. We are planning to use high silicon % coils and we wish to know if this high silicon grade material will give any problem in galvanizing?
We believe that some times back from Belgium one party had visited in Mumbai and they manufacture zinc with other alloy which can be used in high silicon steel galvanizing.
This material is called "Techno-galva" process or it could be the name of the manufacturer itself. We are interested in knowing the complete details of this product or manufacturer to proceed further.
If you know this process please pass this information to me so that we can start testing this product for galvanizing.
