Ionic load calculation of ion exchange unit

Is there any ready made programme available which can calculate the
1. Total ionic load
2. Max output we can get from exchanger
3. qty of chemical reqd for regn

For ion exchange units where in we can feed input data like
resin qty,type, water analysis,bed depth, type of regn ( co / counter )
chemical strength and any other data taht may be reqd to calculate.

Go to the Dow Chemical web site and download the CADIX program. This is free for use. It will be of great help to you. The only factor you have to be careful of is that you do all your calculations on basis of DOWEX Resin characteristics and properties.

On basis of cost/performance, BAYER'S LEWATIT is preferable. You must be careful that resin properties may not give you a really accurate solution, but the results though approximate will work within working parameters.
