Insulation on Aluminum Ladder

Dear Sir,

We are a manufacturer of Aluminium Ladders. Now our client requires a light weight Insulated ladder. FRP ladder is not acceptable. Kindly sugest whether it is possible to provide any kind of Insulation on the sections of Al. Ladder for making it insulated up to 8/10kv/mm.

Pls. Reply.

Regards.

Aluminum can be anodized to afford high resistance on the surface, and plastisol or other coatings can be applied as well. But aluminum is inherently highly conductive, and personally I would hope that laws would not allow you to sell an aluminum ladder as an insulated ladder :-)

Aluminum is very good conductor of electricity, hence cannot be insulated, you have to offer alternative, i.e. Bamboo/ Wooden Ladders.

DEAR SIR
FOR LIGHT WEIGHT STRUCTURE ALUMINIUM DRAWN PROFILES, DRAWN TUBES ARE LIGHT IN WEIGHT AND AS STRESS ARE NOT RELIEVED HAS GOOD TOUGHNESS.
IN DRAWN ALUMINIUM SECTIONS HARDNESS WILL BE >85, SO THERE IS BENEFIT OF STRENGTH AND DRAWN TUBES CAN BE SUPPLIED IN REQUIRED LENGTH ALSO.
