Zinc kronak plate

Plating / Color Chromates. Can someone help me with a definition. The finish states zinc kronak plate .003. What does Kronak mean and where can I find any supporting documents.

Thank You

For years* several customers have been using the term Kronak and in Zinc-Kronak for their plating requirements. It has been referenced as a supplement finish.

We have been using yellow dichromate as Kronak.

Is there any reference information on Kronak, or can anyone tell us if this was a trade name at one time?

* prints are dated from the 40's and 50's.

Thank you in advance.
