Replacement of Titanium Coil with Teflon Tube in Cooling tank
We are using titanium coils of 3 mm thk for cooling H2SO4 solution in our anodising tank.
We are facing frequent gas leakages in this coil. Can anybody suggest us whether we can replace the titanium coil with Teflon tube of same thk.

It's not a good idea to put the condensor coils in an anodizing tank regardless of their material of construction. Procedures like that culminate in things like holes in the ozone layer :-)
You should have a heat exchanger, and cool the anodizing tank with chilled water/glycol. The chilled water coil can be made of teflon.

Hi K Subba,
Ever thought of using PVDF cooling coils. It's very good in acids and takes up to l40 degr. C.
Available for years and years .... and costs less than Ti or tfe.
