Surface finish symbols
I want to know the surface finish of a component having only one circle in Lay symbol. surface finish is not directly specified in drawing but only one circle is shown.

I'm not looking at the symbol, so I'm only guessing...
A small circle lying in the "V" area of a "checkmark" symbol means "no material may be removed from this surface". If it's a larger circle and no checkmark is around, it's probably just an item number callout where the draftsperson didn't get back to putting the item number in :-)
