Gas nitriding and post-oxidation
2004
Hello!
I'm studying how to enhance the resistance to corrosion in steels with gas nitriding including a process of post-oxidation. I really don't know exactly how if it is possible, but I'm thinking that in one process only. Can you help me? How can do it?
Thanks.

Chris, the Quench-Polish-Quench process of KOLENE and other similar ferritic nitrocarburizing processes use an oxidation step following nitriding to improve corrosion resistance. Are you familiar with them, and if so, what are you doing differently?
