DIN 50968-Fe/Ni spec

2004

Hi,

I was trying to search for the technical info for specs Electroplating DIN 50968-Fe/Ni 5b. Please advise.

Thanks & Regards,

Marcus, given that the DIN website at http://www2.din.de doesn't list anything for 50968, I think you need to check with your customer and find out what's the REAL specification. Good luck!

A. Hi. It is my understanding that the replacement, DIN 12540, has been in its turn withdrawn and replaced by DIN EN ISO 1456, which can be purchased at
www.en-standard.eu/din-en-iso-1456-metallic-and-other-inorganic-coatings-electrodeposited-coatings-of-nickel-nickel-plus-chromium-copper-plus-nickel-and-of-copper-plus-nickel-plus-chromium-iso-1456-2009/

But after several rounds of this, I'm not too sure that plating to DIN EN ISO 1456 is exactly equivalent to plating to DIN 50968. Hopefully someone who is actually using these specs can comment.
