Is lacquering of silver possible?

I am a home owner and have inherited some silver candle sticks which have been converted into lamps. I am looking to find a way to somehow put a finish on the silver so that it doesn't tarnish. Is it possible to lacquer silver items which are decorative such as other metals like brass? (Using nail polish which was posted earlier seems impossible for larger items).Thank you for any help or resources.

Yes, you can lacquer your silver. You can use 75 gm Paraloid B 72 resin(or 44 or 67)/1 lit toluene solution. Or try to find Frigilene lacquer.

Good luck!

Agateen lacquer is also very good (USA product)!

Good luck!
