Coating Aluminum

I am looking for possible solutions for coating an aluminum alloy. The substrate can be up to 47" long. Corrosion resistance, cost, and weight are all big factors in our application.

If you're looking for corrosion resistance only with low weight and low cost try IVD aluminum. Large parts are not a problem -- typical deposition chambers are 8 to 12 feet long.

Hi Kenny , You really need to provide us with more information , what kind of environment the products will be exposed to , (i.e., , domestic interior , industrial exterior , motor car , under hood or underbody ? all have different needs ) But a good coating on Aluminium is Anodising and it can be specified in different ways & thicknesses to achieve your specific requirements . Broaden your question and we may be able to help further regards

What sort of volume are you talking about? What kind of environment would the coated part encounter?

I m working in aluminum alloy anodized and I think that the thickness layer have a influence in life fatigue, but I don't have explanation about this. Pedro Paulo
