Can I chrome 1930 Ford Model A Coupe original rims?
Q. I have a 1930 Ford Model A Coupe with original rims and two spare tires, one on each side of the fenders, they are wire spoked rims. I need all 6 rims chromed. I was told that I could not chrome the rims because the metal would not accept. Is this true or false? If true, where do I go and what's the price? I live in Wisconsin. Thanks a lot.

A. Of course your wire wheels can be chrome plated. Find a plating shop which specialises in restoration work. There are many who advertise in Hemmings Motor News. The cost will depend on the present condition of your wheels.

A. Hi. Spoke rims do not chrome well unless the spokes are separated from the wheel rims.
Suggest you price them yourself at the chrome plating shop.
