Changing the finish of Nickel Plating
I have a large number of nickel plated beads which I would like to change to a matte finish. The finish at present is far too shiny. I have tried salt and water, and vinegar ⇦in bulk on eBay or Amazon [affil links] as well. Does anyone have any ideas on the subject?
Thank you in advance.

You might be able to tumble them in your tumbler with 60 or 80 grit carbide. will probably take hours.
