How to repair colored enamel

I am restoring an old wood cook stove, am changing it over to electric. It is an old Beach Companion made in Ottawa Canada. I am using a countertop stove for the elements, which fit with little modication. All welding was done with a mig welder. Panels at the rear were replaced with stainless steel. My biggest problem, is how to repair a door panel that is porcelin enameled. When I make the oven does it have to be insulated?

I'd ask a ceramist if he can enamel the parts and cook them afterward.
