Electrogalvanising - how to make your own passivate, brightener etc
We are a company doing electro-galvanising, both barrel and tank. We are finding our chemical costs rather high, so would like to know if the proprietary solutions i.e. Dark Blue passivation, Yellow passivation, brightener etc can be made by oneself. More specifically, if anyone has formulae for any of these that they could share with me. Alternatively any other suggestions for reducing these costs would be appreciated.

Ed. note: We cannot print any such formulas here because, due to the relative anonymity of the internet, we have no way of knowing that it is legitimately obtained knowledge as opposed to stolen trade secrets. If anyone wants to recommend a book or published article, that's fine.
I would like to know the chemicals used in electrogalvanising steel wires.
