How do I repair a rusting stainless steel bed?

I own a brushed stainless steel bed and it is beginning to rust. What is the best way to remove the rust and protect the bed from continuing to rust?

Thank you,

Since it is brushed steel, I suggest 00 steel wool this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] . Just work with the pattern that is there, and it should come out fine. Next for a rust protectant, go to your local hardware store and find a clear coat for metals (i.e., clear spray paint), be sure that it will work with your bed first and not some funky color (try it somewhere inconspicuious first). Shouldn't be too hard if it has just started to rust.
