Want Rust Remover that won't harm paint

I'm helping my brother with his 1973 Camero. We want to know what will remove rust from the under side the best? But he doesn't want it to strip the paint because the paint is no longer made. Please HELP US!

A few more details would be helpful, what kind of paint is it? Have you tried any commercial rust removers? If so what were the results?
