Boiler feed water treatment
2004
Dear friends,
I am an P&U engineer in HPCL-Visakh Refinery, India. I would like to know for a boiler of 38 kg/cm2 g what is the kind of boiler feed water treatment that is suitable to the system. We have a DM plant with MB, but we donot have a pretreatment plant to treat colloids, organics, etc.
We are presently using AVT. I would like to know what is the best choice. We require steam of 0.02ppm silica. We have condensat recycle ( 30 %). So kindly advise.

Your only solution inline with your condensate flow, for instanlty treating, is ECP(Electrolitic Catalitic Precipitation).

No, you forgot about the rice pulling iridium copper coins. They also work well.
