Alternate to use of K2CrO7 as a reagent?
We are currently using Potassium Dichromate as reagent, which is hexavalent chrome which is hazardous for environment.
I want to know the alternate compound which is cost effective?

There is no across-the-board substitute for potassium dichromate (or anything else); it depends on exactly what you are using it for: Cooling water additive, corrosion resistant coating for aluminum, post dip after phosphate treatment, etc.
Please give us your application.

Hi,
My application for using this solution is to clean the inner surface of capillary silica fiber. Is there any substitution for this solution? Thanks

Hi, Pei-Yu. Sorry, I'm not familiar with capillary silica fiber and what the dichromate removes.
