Plating recommendation needed for welded assembly

I am looking for a plating for a welded assembly. The two components are made of 304 S.S. and 12L14. The parts used to be mechanically joined not welded and I used a electroless nickel - teflon plating for corrosion and lubricity on the 12L14 part.

The part is relatively high volume (20 to 30K per year).

You can continue with the Teflon-nickel, provided a special pretreatment cycle is designed to prepare both base materials. Or did I miss something?

Is there other options that are more economical?

More economical you said? Yes. Will they meet the requirements? Who knows. You said very little about the operation, conditions, actual performance. Have you checked plain electroless nickel or even electrolytic nickel w-w/o chrome? How about Tin plating, it is corrosion resistant and lubrious.
