Corrosion Resistance: Sulfamate Nickel vs Bright Nickel
Does anyone know where I may search for or obtain specific information on corrosion properties of sulfamate nickel plating? I am trying to determine if sulfamate nickel is more corrosion resistant than bright nickel plating. I am also specifically interested in corrosion resistance comparisons between bright nickel, bright tin, cadmium, and sulfamate nickel plating materials.
Thank you in advance for your attention,

You can get bright nickel deposits from sulphamate nickel. The skill in getting bright nickel is to have a lamellar deposit and this is usually achieved by the selection of suitable additives. Corrosion resistance is, in part, dependent on the type of deposit you have and what usbstructures you also have. For instance, duplex nickel has lamellar nickel deposited on top of columnar nickel and this gives it enhanced resistance.
