Zn Fe plating has black patches
We are doing Zn fe alloy plating for one of our part on which we found black patches after 5 months. We are having Sursulf nitriding plant near Zn fe alloy plating bath. Does it give this type of problem.

Dear Mr Venkat,
The Nitriding plant near your zinc iron bath may pose problems for both processes. However I believe that you may not have all the controls and parameters in place for a sustained black passivation over zinc iron. Look at the process once again.
