Source of chrome plated steel tubing
I am trying to find 1 1/4" od thick wall chrome plated drawn steel tubing. Where do I find a supplier for such an item? I cannot find it anywhere.

I could be wrong, Mr. Smith, but I don't think you will find such a product anywhere. I think what you do is source the steel tubing from a warehouse, and then contract with a plating shop to chrome plate it for you. If the tubing requires bending, holes punched, etc., you should do those operations before the plating.
You need to generate a spec for the plating, including the question of whether the tubing will be hard chrome plated (for engineering and wear purposes) or nickel-chrome plated (for bright decorative corrosion resistance). Any plating shops which offer chrome plating would be happy to entertain your questions.
