Need to durably paint staples
Q. I have an application that requires a painted staple from a pnuematic stapler.
I have tried several brands of aersol paints that just chip off. I have also tried a colored matched Acylic enamel with a self etching primer undercoat that also did not work. Any Suggestions?

A. I did some research on a similar problem a few years ago using a small ball bearing 1/16" diameter a couple of washers and a impact tester set at 70 psi. You need a urethane primer with a very flexible topcoat. Only a few systems passed.
