Corrosion test of a nickel plating film
I am very new in plating industry. I produced Ni coating film on brass substrate. Would you please tell me how can I do corrosion test of my film. I heard about salt spray test and Dry/wet test but I don't know what should I do and why? I am looking for full testing procedure of corrosion test. Can anyone help me?

The Metal Finishing Guidebook, and most other plating texts, will have a chapter on testing of plating, including corrosion testing of plating. The "salt fog test" conducted per ASTM B117 is the most popular and recognized accelerated corrosion test, but all accelerated corrosion tests are rather unrealistic, especially this one, and the first question really is what kind of real-world performance you are in need of, and why.
