Copper is still exposed after solder plating
I want to know the meaning of an exposed copper after solder plating? The cause and effect also.

Cheryl, I believe your company is plating tin-lead on semiconductor devices. Exposed copper after solder plating means that there is non-removed contaminant on top of copper layer that prevents the adhesion of tin-lead during plating. Good base metal preparation is very important. With exposed copper you may encounter solderability problem.
