Scale removal from nickel plating
Q. I am in the HVAC industry and trying to find a way to remove scale from components that are Nickel plated without etching the nickel.

A. I wouldn't expect scale cleaners like Lime-Away ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] or C-L-R ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] , nor mild acids, to have any significant effect on nickel. Am I missing something?

A. You can use next solution:
2% sulfuric acid
Cold immersion,1-2 seconds!
Then rinse in running water and finally with water and alcohol(1/1).
Good luck!
