Paint or primer for steel spillway
I have a steel grate I just put on my dam spillway for the water to run down into , and it has been on there for two weeks and is starting to turn rust colored, so I don't think there is much rust yet. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about a primer or paint I could use to prevent the steel from rusting?

Look at a manhole cover, John, and see of that's the finish you want. They usually use bitumen paint.
