Low current area problem in Chrome plating

Dear Sir,

I want to do hard chrome on textile spinning rings. and facing a problem of low current density area in inner top most area of the rings Currently I am using 30 adm2 current temperature 55 C using mach 1. Kindly suggest remedy to solve the low current density area.

Conforming anodes, possibly with thieves as well, I'd say, Tayyab. Good luck.

I'm suggest with Ted but try to make a high current strike and than go down with the current to 25 A/dm2.

Dear Sir,
Hard chrome plating is not suitable for spinning rings for two reasons: 1) Chromium hardness is more than the hardness of available travelers 2) The porosity in hard chrome will affect the smooth gliding of travelers. The performance of rings may deteriorate at anytime due to micro cracks that likely to occur in hard chrome plating.
I am also searching for a solution in this line. Thin film nonporous chromium plating may be a solution.
