Dead Man's Skin
I HAVE A CUSTOMER FROM ACROSS THE POND THAT IS CALLING ME LOOKING FOR A PRODUCT CALLED "DEAD MAN'S SKIN" IT IS A NON SKID TAPE OR SURFACE BECAUSE HE IS ASKING FOR 10 METERS OF IT. I HAVE BEEN IN THE YACHT BUSINESS FOR 10 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT. IF THERE IS SOMEBODY OUT THERE WHO HAS HEARD OF IT OR EVEN BETTER TELL ME WHERE I CAN GET THIS ITEM IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP THAT I CAN GET.

I hadn't heard that word, and not very familiar with yachting either, but on various occasions I have seen rough gritty sheets attached with adhesive to make a non-skid surface. One search term that leads to one brand of such stuff is 'treadmaster-non-skid'. I'll probably forget that name by tomorrow, but (excuse the pun) I'll take 'dead man's skin' to the grave.
From now on, right or wrong, I'm surely going to call that stuff "dead man's skin". Thanks :-)
