What problems to expect with Schloetter lead-free chemistry
Q. I am studying about Schloetter chemistry about lead-free plating. Can you kindly explain how it works and what are the kinds of problem that it causes.

A. To my knowledge Schloetter is a brand name, a supplier of plating processes, not a type of plating. In very general terms, some of the problems of lead-free plating compared to conventional solder plating is a higher melting point, and consequent soldering problems, and an increased tendency towards whiskering.

A. Yes, Schloetter is a brand name for a line of plating chemicals. I have experience in using the Schloetter lead-free plating chemicals. The best way to know about the technical background on these chemicals is to contact the local technical sales rep for details.
