Electroless Solder Plating

I am a manufacturing engineer in a small electronics company. I am researching the feasibility of solder plating individual areas of a printed microelectronic circuit. Is this feasible, and would it require an electroless process?

Electroless ain't gonna happen. You have two choices, selective solder strip or selective solder plate. Which is better probably depends on the circuit design, but normally selective solder strip is easier.

I would like to know if there is a way to reduce or eliminate the demarcation/overlap/butt line that occurs during the sss process?
