Do we need holiday detection?

We used to coat different type of materials in our existing powder coating system (e.g.switchgear parts, MCC parts, cable tray..etc) each of them either flat sheets or enclosures. my question is do we need to have a holiday detection test.

Gamal, The answer to this should be dictated by your customer/engineering spec. It's also a show stopper, if you need to holiday test and haven't been, you could have some serious liability issues on the table, especially if you're doing anything military.

Dear Mr Gamal,

Holiday detector is a good tool to check the holes and cavities in your paint in which the coating is not covering the metal and may cause corrosion specially in hot and humid climate like Saudi. But in general you can check visually for such thing and it is not much needed to buy this tool.
