Polish a .116 dia hole in 303 stainless





What kind of equipment OR process is needed to polish a .116 dia hole to an 8 finish,hole size is .116 dia., material 303 stainless. part size is 2.750 OD X .625 LONG, DEPTH of hole is .625 also, this job is small qty. but I'm interested in getting started in this kind of work.

There is no external system that can do this without distortion. This is a machine application and matter of good machine practices. Meaning, if you select the right drill and speed, you should be able to accomplish task in the drilling operation itself. Not being that familiar with the exact procedure, you may have to drill an undersized hole and then ream with larger.
