Chromic Acid Anodization process control

2004

Hello Everyone,

We have a problem I hope someone could help me with. We do chromic acid anodizing for some aluminum alloys and need help in determining the concentration for the chromic acid. Are there any titration methods or any procedures to determine the concentration and do this properly? I would appreciate any suggestions you all would have.

Thank you,

Hi Kyle,

Do you have access to either the Canning Handbook or the Electroplating Engineering Handbook this on eBay, AbeBooks, or Amazon [affil links] ? Both of these publications have methods for analysis of both free and total chrome. Both publications are worth having.
