Reflective Coating Potential on Magnesium
We are investigating the potential of coating the surface of magnesium die-castings. The surface needs to be smooth and highly reflective like the headlamp housing of your automobile. Is this possible - especially at low cost? Current chrome-plating techniques on Mg are too dull and are expensive. Thank you in advance for your response.

Electroless nickel isn't cheap by the square inch of plating, but it might be the best value since it is quite reflective.
