Need Passivation alternative

Any idea in how to passivate a inner surface round stainless steel 316 tank size ~36mÈ. Requirement specified as dipping with 35% Nitric acid for 16hours. This will be very costly of the 36mÈ Nitric acid. Any alternative way?

We can suggest passivation method with solution based on low concentration of phosphoric acid. The solution is reusable with minor correction. Contact us for more details.

You can get excellent results using citric acid based gelled products that are available on the market. These can be sprayed, brushed or rolled onto the surface to attain excellent results without great expense and with the hazards of mineral acids.
